Governors Announce New Coalition For Energy Choice

Governors Chris Sununu of New Hampshire and Jeff Landry of Louisiana have launched the Governors’ Coalition for Energy Choice, aimed at addressing rising energy costs and inflation. This initiative highlights growing concerns among leaders about the impact of electrification-only policies on energy equity, security, and reliability.

The coalition will focus on developing policies that promote energy choice, reduce regulatory hurdles, limit costly energy mandates, and prioritize affordable and reliable infrastructure. So far, eight governors have joined, including Brian Kemp (GA), Bill Lee (TN), Eric Holcomb (IN), Mark Gordon (WY), Sarah Huckabee Sanders (AR), Kristi Noem (SD), J. Kevin Stitt (OK), and Glenn Youngkin (VA). More governors may join following upcoming elections. Click Here to read the press release.
